On last night's Charlie Fisher Radio Show, Western Illinois Head Football Coach Charlie Fisher joined host Scott Kornberg to break down the 38-29 victory over Northern Iowa. The Leathernecks won in thrilling fashion, as quarterback Sean McGuire hit Jaelon Acklin on a 20 yard touchdown strike to put the Leathernecks ahead with six seconds remaining. The win moved the now 14th ranked Leathernecks to 4-1 on the season, and 1-1 in Missouri Valley Football Conference play.

Fisher discussed the victory, what his team is doing well, and looked ahead to Saturday's game vs. Missouri State. Later in the show, McGuire dropped by to talk about the game winning drive and what goes through his head in that type of situation. McGuire has become quite accustomed to these moments as a Leatherneck, as he has orchestrated three game winning drives with under a minute remaining over the past two seasons.
