WIU Head Baseball Coach Ryan Brownlee discusses season opening series

Western Illinois Baseball began the season 0-3 with a three game series at Middle Tennessee State last weekend. The Leathernecks fell Friday 2-0, before having their Saturday matchup rained out. This resulted in the teams playing a Sunday doubleheader, in which WIU lost 11-7 and 9-3.

The matchup with Middle Tennessee State was the first of five road series' Western has to open the season. Next up on the docket for the Leathernecks is a trip to Murray State this weekend. Due to weather concerns in the early weekend, there will be a doubleheader Sunday (12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.) followed by a 1:00 p.m. Monday matchup.

For a recap of the opening weekend at Middle Tennessee State and a look at this year's Leatherneck team listen to my interview with WIU Head Baseball Coach Ryan Brownlee here
