Macomb Arts Center is preparing for the return of Battle of the Brushes on Saturday, January 25! This will be the third year for this exciting fast-paint competition and fundraising event. Proceeds support the programs and events of the MAC, including 8-10 free art exhibits annually, Rising Stars youth theatre experience, plays, concerts, and more.
Throughout the evening 14 adventurous artists will create paintings in just 30 minutes. Event guests will vote to determine the final round participants, as well as the ultimate winning artist. Guests will also enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction of various items (including paintings created throughout the evening), raffle prizes, and a live auction of the final round paintings. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the first round of painting beginning at 7:00.
The 14 participating artists are: Bethany Barr, Dustin Berg, Ray Bunch, Kaitlin Findley, Julie Fiscella (Ray Bunch’s daughter—nothing like a little friendly father/daughter competition!), Jeannie Galioto, David Garrison (winner of the 2019 Battle), Steven House (winner of the 2018 Battle), Adam Kozlowski, Lindsey Moore, Sam Myerson, Kevin Nichols, Jan Rockwell, and Josh Wroblewski
Tickets purchased online at macombartscenter.org through Friday, Jan. 24 are $15 for members; $20 for non-members. Tickets at the door will be $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
